Jordan records 57 deaths and 3,209 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 57 deaths and 3,209 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 695,390.

The death toll has risen to 8,429.

The cases are:

-1,104 in Amman

-680 in Irbid, including 93 in Ramtha

-430 in Zarqa

-230 in Mafraq

-157 in Karak

-125 in Tafilah

-119 in Aqaba

-97 in Balqa

-97 in Ajloun

-62 in Jerash

-62 in Madaba

-46 in Ma'an, including two in Petra

A total of 220 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 253 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 32,468 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 4,775 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 654,493.

There are 1,937 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 24,628 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,546,796.

Wednesday, 13.03 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 13.76 percent on Tuesday.
