Monday, the Kuwaiti Cabinet announced the extension of night curfew hours across the country starting Thursday, April 22, until the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. The night curfew begins at 7pm until 5am.
The Kuwaiti government said that the decision will be reviewed after reassessing the COVID-19 situation in the country.
The cabinet decided earlier to continue imposing a night curfew in the country from April 8 until April 22, but the latest decision extends this period to at least mid-May.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Kuwait has confirmed 256,987 cases and 1,448 deaths.
