Jordan records 60 deaths and 2,732 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 60 deaths and 2,732 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 681,870.

The death toll has risen to 8,117.

The cases are:

-1,379 in Amman

-369 in Irbid, including 18 in Ramtha

-260 in Zarqa

-120 in Balqa

-113 in Mafraq

-112 in Jerdash

-98 in Karak

-69 in Ajloun

-67 in Madaba

-61 in Aqaba

-50 in Ma'an, including five in Petra

-34 in Tafilah

A total of 245 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 294 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 47,841 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 4.042 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 625,912.

There are 2,265 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 22,013 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,448,333.

Friday, 12.41 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 13.62 percent on Thursday.
