The Assistant Director of Health Care Affairs in Madaba Mustafa al-Atrash said the occupancy rate of hospital beds at Nadim Hospital is approximately 90 percent, while in Princess Salma Hospital the rate is 80 percent.

Atrash added in a press statement Thursday that the two hospitals are overwhelmed due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 patients that need hospitalization and intensive care. He added that hospitals are in need of additional nursing and medical staff.

Turnout at vaccination sites in Madaba exceeded 70 percent and no complications have been reported among those who got vaccinated.

Atrash stressed the importance of compliance with health and safety measures, and called on citizens to register for vaccination in Madaba.
