Saturday, the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, announced that Palestine recorded 24 deaths, and 1,691 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.

The deaths were recorded in Tulkarm, Jenin, Salfit, Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Nablus, Hebron, the Gaza Strip, and Occupied Jerusalem.

Of the new cases, 44 were recorded in Qalqilya, 77 in Tulkarm, 23 in Tubas, 134 in Jenin, 17 in Salfit, 91 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh, 119 in Nablus, seven in the suburbs of Occupied Jerusalem, 90 in Hebron, seven in Jericho and Al-Aghwar, 27 in Bethlehem, 953 in the Gaza Strip, and 62 in Occupied Jerusalem.

The rate of recovery in Palestine stands at 89.6 percent, while the rate of active infections is 9.3 percent, and the death rate is 1.1 percent. 

The Minister of Health said there are 200 patients with COVID-19 in the intensive care units, of whom 63 are connected to artificial respirators.

647 patients are being treated in COVID-19 centers and departments in hospitals in the West Bank.

90,204 citizens have received at least one dose of a vaccine. Of that number, 10,146 have received two doses.
