The Director of the Karak Governmental Hospital, Moaz Al-Ma'aytah, denied what is being circulated on social media about occupancy rates of coronavirus patients' beds in the hospital reaching full capacity.

Al-Ma'aytah confirmed to Roya that the number of coronavirus patients occupying beds in the various isolation departments of the hospital is currently 24 out of the 44 beds designated for COVID-19 patients, with an occupancy rate of 55 percent.

He pointed out that there is no patient on artificial respirators, noting that the hospital has 10.

With regard to the availability of oxygen in Karak Governmental Hospital, he confirmed that this matter is followed up on a daily basis by a specialized committee, and the hospital is provided with oxygen every two days.

Al-Ma'aytah explained that the hospital continues to provide service and health care for all sick patients in the outpatient departments, as well as in admissions to the rest of the departments and emergency surgeries.

He appealed to citizens not to pay attention to online rumors, urging everyone to only obtain information from official sources.
