Tuesday, the man who stabbed his ex-wife to death using scissors has been charged with premeditated murder, the Public Prosecutor announced.

The incident happened in the Russeifa Sharia court in Amman Monday. The victim was transferred to Prince Faisal Hospital for treatment but died soon after.

The forensic medicine department conducted an autopsy which showed that the woman received a stab to the heart which led to her death.

According to the public prosecutor, the perpetrator will be detained for 15 days pending investigations.
