Jordan records 29 deaths and 4,584 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 29 deaths and 4,584 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 417,934.

The death toll has risen to 4,862.

The cases are:

- 2,776 in Amman

- 487 in Irbid, including three in Ramtha

- 367 in Zarqa

- 285 in Karak

- 156 in Aqaba

- 131 in Karak

- 108 in Madaba

- 88 in Jerash

- 64 in Tafilah

- 52 in Ajloun

- 51 in Mafraq

- 19 in Ma'an

A total of 287 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 205 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 54,224 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 2,200 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 358,848.

There are 1,931 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 34,385 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,796,208.

Friday, 13.33 percent of PCR tests came back positive.
