Jordan records 40 deaths and 5,733 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 40 deaths and 5,733 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 413,350.

The death toll has risen to 4,833.

The cases are:

-3,040 in Amman

-681 in Zarqa

-491 in Irbid, including 26 in Ramtha

-193 in Jerash

-611 in Balqa

-214 in Madaba

-106 in Aqaba

-103 in Karak

-97 in Ajloun

-76 in Mafraq

-65 in Tafilah

-56 in Ma'an

A total of 372 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 181 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 51,869 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 967 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 356,648.

There are 1,884 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 43,459 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 4,761,823.

Thursday, 13.19 percent of PCR tests came back positive.
