ASEZA excludes various establishments, services from Friday lockdown

In press statements Thursday, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) decided to exempt 34 establishments and other services in Aqaba from the total lockdown on Friday.

The decision includes the following establishments:

  1. Jordanian Maritime Authority
  2. AQABA Comany for Port Operation and Management
  3. Aqaba for Airports
  4. Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT)
  5. Jordan Industrial Ports Company (JIPC)
  6. Jordan Phosphate Mines
  7. Arab Potash
  8. National Electricity Power Co. (NEPCO)
  9. Arab Bridge Maritime Co.
  10. Aqaba for Marine Services
  11. KEMAPCO Arab Fertilizers and Chemicals Industries
  12. Central Electricity Generating Co.(CEGCO)
  13. National Investment Assembly
  14. Aqaba Bromine companies
  15. AQABA Logistics Village (ALV)
  16. Golden Triangle for Investments (GTI)
  17. Agility Logistics
  18. Jordan Oil Terminals Company (JOTC)
  19. Nafith Logistics Jordan
  20. Shipping Association
  21. Middle East Shipping Surveys Co. (Maritime Inspection)
  22. Aqaba Customs
  23. Madarij for Logistic Services

  40. Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO)
  41. Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC Jordan)
  42. Royal Scientific Society (RSS)

ASEZA said that the exception confirms the commitment of all workers in these companies, institutions and bodies to the required safety and prevention standards, according to the approved health protocols and defense orders.

If non-compliance is seen, legal measures will be taken against violators with the facility closing immediately.
