The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has announced that COVID-19 vaccinations will begin Sunday morning, after 2,000 doses arrived through the Kerem Shalom border crossing Wednesday.

The Director-General of Primary Health Care Majdi Dahir stated that these vaccinations will be allocated to the groups most vulnerable to the coronavirus, noting that transplant patients and kidney failure patients will be vaccinated too.

Dahir indicated that vaccinations will take place in Al-Rimal Health Care Center on Al-Wehda Street for those in the northern governorates, and in Khan Yunis Martyrs Center for those in southern and central governorates.
