Sunday, the former head of the Jordan Medical Association (JMA), Ahmed Al-Armouti, and the advisor to the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network, Adel Al-Belbeisi, talked to Roya's Nabd Albalad about the COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom.

Regarding the high number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Jordan Sunday, Armouti said that this does not mean the government should close schools or impose lockdowns.

Armouti criticized people's failure to adhere to the required health and safety measures, noting that the government should take immediate actions regarding this.  

In regards to imposing a total lockdown, Belbeisi stressed that this is not the right solution, adding that citizens' lack of complaince with COVID-19 restrictions is the main reason behind the increase in the number of coronavirus cases.
