Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Jordan Nayef bin Bandar al-Sudairy told Jordan News Agency (Petra) Sunday that Saudi Arabia is among the top three investors in Jordan's transport, infrastructure, energy, financial, commercial and tourism sectors with investments amounting to USD 13 billion.
Sudairy spoke about the contributions of the Saudi Jordanian Investment Fund, which has a capital of USD 3 billion and is owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (90 percent) and 16 Jordanian banks (10 percent).
Among the fund's projects is a health care project with an initial investment of approximately USD 400 million. The project is working on the construction of a 300-bed university hospital, 60 outpatient clinics and a medical university with a 100-seat capacity per year.
The Ambassador pointed out that the bilateral trade exchange in 2020 amounted to approximately USD 5 billion despite the coronavirus crisis.
