Palestine recorded 10 deaths and 497 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Wednesday.

The new deaths involved seven in the West Bank (one in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; one in Nablus, three in Jenin, and two in Bethelehm), and three in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 92.7 percent, while the active case rate is 6.2 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 58 in Nablus; 23 in Tubas; six in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 15 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 12 in Salfit; 36 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 14 in Bethlehem; nine in Tulkarem; 17 in Hebron; 10 in Jenin, and 285 in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 118 in Nablus, 27 in Tubas; 30 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 54 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 17 in Salfit; 18 in Qalqilya; 64 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 19 in Bethlehem; 42 in Tulkarem; 52 in Hebron; 46 in Jenin, and 603 in the Gaza Strip.

Currently, 80 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 22 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,193 PCR tests were conducted.
