Jordan records 17 deaths and 883 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 17 deaths and 883 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 316,427.

The death toll has risen to 4,170.

The cases are:

-408 in Amman

-188 in Irbid, including 47 in Ramtha

-62 in Zarqa

-49 in Jerash

-47 in Mafraq

-45 in Balqa

-25 in Ajloun

-19 in Madaba

-15 in Karak

-14 in Tafilah

-11 in Aqaba

-zero in Ma'an

A total of 69 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 57 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 10,364 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,553 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 301,893.

There are 440 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 21,930 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 3,616,235.

Tuesday, 4.03 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
