The head of the COVID-19 situation assessment committee Saad al-Kharabsheh Monday said no country will be able to achieve population immunity through vaccination in just two years. He added on Roya's Nabd Albalad that Jordan did not surpass the danger zone and must maintain current achievements to prevent setbacks.

Kharabsheh said he hopes the COVID-19 curve in Jordan will remain under control after different economic sectors reopen. He stressed the need to adhere to preventive measures while the national vaccination campaign is ongoing, by wearing facemasks and social distancing.

He said that, "We will achieve a high percentage of population immunity, which will reduce the [repercussions of the] pandemic." He added that the COVID-19 situation will improve if the national vaccination program expands.
