Jordan records 20 deaths and 796 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has 20 recorded deaths and 796 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 305,959.

The death toll has risen to 4,009.

The cases are:

-256 in Amman

-257 in Irbid, including 26 in Ramtha

-114 in Balqa

-41 in Zarqa

-18 in Ajloun

-nine in Aqaba

-63 in Mafraq

-19 in Karak

-17 in Madaba

-two in Tafilah

-zero in Jerash

-zero in Ma'an

A total of 59 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 41 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 14,967 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,590 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 286,983.

There are 556 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 16,815 PCR tests were conducted Saturday, bringing the total to 3,387,107.

Saturday, 4.73 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
