Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the rocket attack on Baghdad's diplomatic Green Zone Sunday night.

Ministry's spokesperson Daifallah Fayez reaffirmed that Jordan strongly condemns the terrorist attack and reject any action aimed at destabilizing the security and disturbing the safety of Iraq.

Sunday, eight rockets were fired near the US Embassy in Baghdad, damaging several buildings and cars. The US Embassy said minor damage was caused to the embassy compound. However, there were no injuries or deaths.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blamed Iranian-backed militias for the terrirost act.
