The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said Monday that an artillery shell fired at a Palestinian home in Gaza Monday night was fired "my mistake."
The Palestinian security source told Agence France-Presse that "last night, the occupation forces fired a 120 mm shell that hit a house, causing great damage to it."
"Fortunately, the house was empty of its residents when it was bombed," he explained.
Photographers from Agence France-Presse said that the shell completely destroyed two rooms in the two-story house.
In a statement, an IOF spokesman said that an Israeli Occupation tank "mistakenly fired an artillery shell near the eastern border in central Gaza, causing material damage, but no injuries."
