A drop in temperatures is expected Tuesday, as a cold air mass from Cyprus will cross the Kingdom bringing cold weather, clouds and rain in mountainous areas in the north, reported the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Rain is expected to intensify across the Kingdom with flooding in valleys and lower regions. Moderate southwesterly winds will be active and dusty.

In Amman, temperatures will range between 16 degrees Celsius during the day and nine degrees at night. In Aqaba, temperatures will reach 25 degrees during the day and drop to 13 degrees at night.

Temperatures are expected to drop further Wednesday with some showers and possible heavy rainfalls accompanied with thunder and hail in the western regions. Water levels will rise and floods will form in low-lying areas.

No rain is expected Wednesday night as skies clear up. However, fog might form over highlands and desert areas.
