Palestine records nine deaths and 1,936 new coronavirus cases

Palestine has recorded nine deaths and 1,936 new COVID-19 cases, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Friday.

The deaths reported involved seven in the West Bank and two in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 79.4 percent, while the active cases rate is 19.7 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 137 in Hebron; 190 in Nablus; 106 in Bethlehem; 57 in Qalqilya; 122 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 135 in Jenin; 14 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 60 in Salfit; 86 in Tulkarem; 75 in Tubas; 922 in Gaza Strip; and 32 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 719 recovery cases have been recorded involving 97 in Hebron; 50 in Jenin; 129 in Nablus; 40 in Tulkarem; 83 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 10 in Tubas; 17 in Salfit; 15 in Qalqilya; eight in Jericho and Al-Aghwar and 270 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 57 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and eight are on ventilators.

A total of 7,717 PCR tests have been conducted.
