Jordan has recorded 62 deaths and 5,025 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 198,021.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 2,442.

The cases are:

- 1,510 in Amman

- 425 in Zarqa

- 351 in Balqa

- 222 in Aqaba

- 128 in Ma'an, including 40 in Petra

- 98 in Madaba

- 1,250 in Irbid

- 369 in Mafraq

- 293 in Jerash

- 160 in Ajlun

- 122 in Karak

- 97 in Tafilah

A total of 253 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 176 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 64,461 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 5,685 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 131,181.

There are 2,027 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 472 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 27,098 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,435,340.

Wednesday, 18.5 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
