Four deaths, 576 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded four deaths and 576 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Tuesday.

The new deaths reported involved: a 60-year-old man from Salfit, a 60-year-old man from Nablus, a 69-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy from Jerusalem, all of them had suffered from chronic diseases.

The recovery rate stands at 88.2 percent, while the active cases rate is 11 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 64 in Hebron; 88 in Nablus; 34 in Bethlehem; four in Qalqilya; 42 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 37 in Jenin; 22 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 17 in Salfit; 38 in Tulkarem; four in Tubas; 119 in Gaza Strip; and 27 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 389 recovery cases have been recorded involving 58 in Hebron; eight in Salfit; 55 in Nablus; 135 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; six in Tubas; 27 in Jenin; and 100 in Gaza Strip. 

Currently, 40 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and six are on ventilators.
