Friday prayer times have been changed following the switch to daylight savings, announced the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Mohammad al-Khalaileh Sunday. Mosques will now open for Friday prayer from 11:15pm until 12:15pm.

During the total lockdown Fridays, worshippers will have to make their way to mosques on foot, said al-Khalaileh.

However, mosques located in isolated areas will remain closed. If a worshipper at a mosque tests positive for coronavirus, the mosque will be shut down.
