Jordan records highest  number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in one week

A total of 13,432 new coronavirus cases and 199 deaths have been recorded in the Kingdom over the past week (October 16-23).

According to the government's weekly report, Jordan has also recorded 775 recovery cases and a total of 148,285 PCR tests have been conducted.

The report listed the most important decisions made by the government:

  • A weekly 24-hour lockdown every Friday until the end of the year.
  • Friday prayer will be held in mosques all over the kingdom and worshippers must make their way on foot.
  • The overnight curfew has been extended to start at 11pm until 6am.
