The 48-hour lockdown, on Friday and Saturday, will probably be imposed in the coming few weeks but there is no intention for a long total lockdown at this time, said the head of the Crisis Management Cell, Mazen Farrayah, on Thursday.

The Crisis Management Cell has excluded some sectors such as health and private laboratories, he said.

Police forces have also been granted flexibility considering the current circumstances, he added.

Farrayah called on citizens to take a break during these two-days to simplify the tasks of police forces during lockdown.
