Five deaths, 452 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 452 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai al-Kaila, on Friday.

The deaths involved two citizens in Hebron (76 and 84 years old), one in Jerusalem and two in Nablus (76 and 78 years old).

The recovery rate stands at 74%, while the active cases rate is 25.4%, and the death rate is 0.6%.

The new coronavirus cases included: 91 in Hebron, 23 in Nablus, 46 in Bethlehem, seven in Qalqilya, 43 in Ramallah and Bireh, 19 in Jenin, eight in Salfit, 19 in Jericho and Aghwar, 56 in Tulkaram, 45 in Gaza Strip, 15 in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 80 in Jerusalem.

A total of 368 recovery cases were recorded in Palestine: 83 in Hebron, 37 in Jenin, 39 in Tulkarem, 90 in Gaza Strip and 119 in Jerusalem.

Currently, 43 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and 12 are on ventilators.
