Five deaths, 713 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 713 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai al-Kaila, on Thursday.

The deaths involved two in Hebron and three in Jerusalem.

The recovery rate stands at 73.9%, while the active cases rate is 25.4%, and the death rate is 0.7%.

The new coronavirus cases included: 133 in Hebron, 61 in Nablus, 52 in Bethlehem, 39 in Qalqilya, 34 in Ramallah and Bireh, 19 in Jenin, 23 in Salfit, 15 in Jericho and Aghwar, 28 in Tulkaram, four in Tubas, 95 in Gaza Strip, five in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 205 in Jerusalem (over the past two days).

A total of 920 recovery cases were recorded in Palestine: 134 in Hebron, 105 in Jenin, 45 in Tulkarem, 42 in Qalqilya, 31 in Nablus, 115 in Bethlehem, eight in Tubas, 54 in Salfit, 112 in Gaza Strip and 274 in Jerusalem.

Currently, 42 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and 11 are on ventilators.
