A mobile bank has been launched on the first day of total lockdown in Eil district in Ma'an, after more than 95 COVID-19 cases were recorded in the area, said the governor of Ma’an, said the Governer, Mohammed al-Fayez, on Thursday.

In addition to the mobile bank, several security checkpoints have been placed on main and secondary roadsleading to the district to ensure civilian safety.

The Committee for Sustainability and Quality of Life set up the appropriate mechanisms to allow civilians to fulfill their basic needs on foot, while minimizing social contact, added al-Fayez.

Permission for movement during the lockdown will be granted to those with special humanitarian cases, upon request, and individuals with livestock permits.
