The government has decided to immediately start implementing home-quarantine instead of institutional-quarantine for coronavirus patients who are under the age of 18, announced the Prime Minsiter, Omar Razzaz, on Sunday.

“We discussed in the Council of Ministers today a protocol to isolate children infected with COVID-19 based on the feedback from the field, families and the different needs of children during quarantine period. It was decided to immediately start applying home-quarantine for every coronavirus patient under the age of 18," Razzaz wrote on Twitter.

Razzaz added "Our main goal is to protect the health of the citizen and society."
