One new COVID-19 case has been recorded in Madaba, involving a 53-year-old man, announced the city's governor, Ali Madi, on Friday.

The man was found to be infected with the virus during his stay at one of the hospitals in Amman. He is suffering from chronic diseases in addition to COVID-19, Madi added.

The COVID-19 investigation teams isolated the building he lives in and samples were taken from 22 people who came into contact with the infected, Madi added.
