The government is not considering imposing a total lockdown, said the Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, on Friday.

COVID-19 hit all countries of the world, and left many economic and social impacts but Jordan presented a wonderful example at the beginning of the crisis, Adaileh said during an interview with Jordan TV on Friday.

In addition, the Coronavirus Crisis Management Cell has held daily meetings over the past weeks and months to assess the pandemic’s situation and take appropriate decisions, Adaileh added.

Adaileh added, Defense Order Number 16 was issued yesterday, Thursday, to deter violators and organizers of gatherings of more than 20 people. The violation may apply to all attendees at gatherings of more than 20 people.
