A nursery in a private hospital in Amman has been shut down for two weeks after three staff members and three children tested positive for coronavirus, said the director of Family and Protection at the Ministry of Social Development, Mahmoud al-Jbour, on Tuesday.

The rest of the children and staff members have been isolated at their homes.

The Ministry’s procedures prohibit the reopening of nurseries before all samples are obtained and all PCR test results come back negative.

The toddlers who tested positive for COVID-19 are children of female employees at the hospital.

Upon returning to work after 14 days, all children and staff members must be re-tested and workers are not allowed to return to work without a medical report proving their full recovery.
