Private school owner tests positive for COVID-19 in Irbid

A private school owner has been transferred to Prince Hamzah Hospital after testing positive for coronavirus, the Irbid Health Director, Riyadh Al-Shayab, told Roya on Tuesday.

The school owner is believed not to have come into contact with many people at the school.

Approximately 1,500 samples were taken fromstudents and staff members and are awaiting the results, he said.

The school has been shut down for 14 days, in accordance with health protocols enforced by the Ministry of Health.

Seven houses are currently isolated in Irbid, which will be lifted off of two building on Wednesday.

The cases that have been recorded in Jordan recently have all been traced back to the source and the health situation is under control.
