Three deaths, 612 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

A further 612 coronavirus cases and three deaths have been recorded over the past 24 hours in Palestine, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced on Tuesday.

The deaths that were recorded in Beit Ula and Hebron, the ministry added.


The cases are: 140 in Hebron, 57 in Nablus, 45 in Bethlehem, 30 in Qalqilya, 40 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, 44 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, 6 in Jenin, 11 in Tulkarm, 8 in Gaza Strip, 231 in Jerusalem and 81 in Jerusalem suburbs.

A total of 83 recovery cases were recorded in Palestine; 11 in Tulkarm, 20 in Qalqilya, 2 in Jenin, and 50 in Jerusalem.

The ministry reported 60% of patients have recovered from the virus, while the active cases are 39.5%, and only 0.5% deaths.

Currently, 24 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and seven are on ventilators, the ministry added.
