A building in the Um Uthaina was isolated after a doctor living in the building tested positive for coronavirus, on Thursday.

Governer of Amman, Saad Shihab, said Amman Municipality will sterilise the building and surrounding areas.

The doctor, who works at the Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II hospital, was diagnosed through random testing on Thursday, said the head of the COVID-19 dossier at the MOH, Adnan Ishaq.

The doctor has since been isolated at Prince Hamza Hospital for treatment.

Investigations are currently underway to finding out the source of the infection.

Two-hundred-and-fifty samples have been taken from hospital staff, said the Director of the Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II hospital, Muhammad Al-Abed.
