Iraqi Finance Minister Fuad Hussain said on Tuesday that the Iraqi-Jordanian agreement contributes to the increase in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, especially in the western region of Iraq.

During a meeting with Jordanian Minister of Industry and Supply, Tariq Al-Hamouri, in the presence of Jordanian Ambassador to Baghdad, Montasser Al-Zu'bi, Iraqi Minister Hussain said that an agreement was reached between the two countries to coordinate the work of the technical delegation from the two ministries. He added that the agreement is important as it will contribute to the increasing in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries and activate the market, especially in the western region of Iraq, which will have a positive impact on the security and economic situation and will create many job opportunities in those areas.

For his part, Minister Al-Hamouri said that things are going smoothly, and that the government is waiting for lists of Iraqi drivers for the purpose of granting them access of entry into the borders within the territory of Jordan.

Al-Hamouri expressed Jordan's full readiness to train Iraqi cadres, transfer technology and modern technologies used in the ministries of Jordan, and use them to develop the work of the various Iraqi state institutions.
