The director of production at Jordan Water Company “Miyahuna” Engineer Haitham Al-Kilani stated on Sunday, December 16, 2018, that the source of water turbidity is mostly caused by rainfall runoffs down the valleys, and that once this happens the company stops pumping water in order to ensure the health of the citizen.

Kilani confirmed that the drinking water is within Jordanian specifications 100% and subject to international standards derived from the World Health Organization.

Kilani added that the Ministry, Miyahuna and other companies implement standards for drinking water and water quality control systems for all sources, including water distribution networks.

He pointed out that the control tests include sources of the treated raw water and pipes that provide citizens with water.

Kilani stressed that the company carries out 400 thousand annual inspections within the pre-defined programs.
