Jordan Public Security Directorate (PSD) urged on citizens to follow up on tomorrow’s weather forecast, in addition to road conditions – which is to be sent to mobile phones via SMS.
The new service – which was launched recently in cooperation with local telecommunications companies – aims to inform citizens about weather conditions as well as alert them about areas where floods may form.
With regards to the weather on Friday, the Kingdom will be affected with a relatively cool air mass in the early hours of the morning. Wind speed is expected to increase throughout the region with occasional showers in parts of the northern region, extending later to central regions.
Rainfall is not expected in the southern nor east governorates or even of the kingdom, according to Arabia Weather.
Irbid, Jerash, Ajloun, Balqa and parts of Amman are expected to witness sporadic rainfall on Friday, November 16, 2018, while the rest of the region is to experience a cloudy weather along with wind activity.
Rain is likely to be associated with fog, especially over the mountains. During the evening and night hours, rainfall is to gradually cease while fog is likely to form in many parts of the Kingdom.
