Israeli warplanes struck the Port of Gaza early Wednesday morning, according to Palestinian media.

Three huge explosions were heard throughout Gaza after Israeli military targeted a training compound belonging to Hamas' military wing and two boats in the Gaza seaport, reported Haaretz.

Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out at the scene, without reporting any casualties, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

Palestinian media reports said that the targeted boats were preparing to depart from the port in an attempt to break the naval blockade on the Strip.

The strikes came in response to a group of ten Palestinians crossing over from Gaza into Israel and setting fire to an empty outpost, which was set up for Israeli snipers following the recent bloody protests at the border.
