King Abdullah received today the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne.

Browne, and his accompanying delegation discussed with the King the means of cooperation between the two countries, especially after the Kingdom signed a statement commencing diplomatic relationships with the Caribbean country.

King Abdullah expressed his appreciation for Antigua and Barbuda for their support of Jordan by nominating the Kingdom in the UNESCO’s executive council elections next month.

He also expressed Jordan’s support and sympathies to the victims of Hurricane Irma, which has recently hit the Caribbean nation.

The meeting which was attended by the Head of the Royal Hashemite Court, the Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, and the Antigua and Barbuda minister of Foreign Affairs, covered the recent developments in the Middle East, and regional and international efforts in combating terrorism.
