The Israeli Occupation’s National Planning and Building Council ratified on Tuesday a new plan to build 4,000 new settlement units in Jerusalem, according to Haaretz.

They will be built on mountains surrounded Occupied Jerusalem, which according to the website is a very important area for the Occupation due to a shortage of areas in Jerusalem. Nature protection organisations protested the plan, stating that it would cause great damage to the environment in the areas.
