Jordan's Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister, Ayman Al-Safadi, emphasized the international community's responsibility to intervene and halt the crisis in the Gaza Strip.

During a joint press conference with Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense, Mihal Martin, at the ministry's headquarters on Wednesday, Safadi warned that an assault on Rafah by Israeli Occupation Forces would result in another massacre, adding to the already long list of atrocities in Gaza.

He highlighted the ongoing risk of regional escalation and stressed the urgent need to end the aggression against Gaza, emphasizing that there is no justification for its continuation as the humanitarian situation deteriorates.

Safadi also pointed out that the liquidation of UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) is an objective pursued by the Israeli Occupation, which the international community must not allow.

He stated, "We are in agreement to prevent the occupation from assaulting Rafah, and we strongly caution against unilateral actions by the occupation in Jerusalem."

Safadi further warned against illegal occupation practices in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem, citing increasing settlements, land confiscations, settler attacks, and military operations against Palestinians.

Jordanian Foreign Minister renewed the call for countries to resume funding UNRWA, following the debunking of accusations by the Israeli Occupation.

Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense, Mihal Martin, added that his country, along with Spain and other European nations and in coordination with Jordan, is working towards recognizing the State of Palestine.

Martin acknowledged the significant voice Jordan holds in the European Union.
