UPDATED: Two Israeli Occupation soldiers killed in Hamas strike at Karam Abu Salem

Two soldiers were killed and several others were injured on Sunday due to mortar shelling at the Karam Abu Salem site, east of Rafah. The Israeli Occupation army has announced the closure of the Karam Abu Salem crossing, which is currently not allowing truck passage.

According to Israeli Occupation army radio, approximately 10 mortar shells were fired from Rafah towards Kibbutz Karam Abu Salem in the Gaza Strip.

Hebrew media confirmed the deaths of two soldiers and reported eight others seriously injured, describing the incident as severe.

The Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for bombing enemy forces' concentrations at the Karam Abu Salem site and surrounding areas using the 114 mm short-range “Rajoum” missile system. They also announced joint bombing with the Al-Quds Brigades on Zionist forces in the “Netzarim” axis using “107” short-range missiles.

Al-Aqsa TV quoted security and field sources stating that information from the resistance confirmed at least three deaths and around 10 moderate to serious injuries.

The operation targeted an Israeli Occupation army command post recently established east of the Kerem Shalom military site, aiming to manage bombing operations that targeted Rafah Governorate two weeks ago and plan the Rafah operation. It included Shin Bet officers and generals.

The sources stated that the Israeli Occupation Forces did not intervene at the site for about an hour, leaving the injured and dead, due to their strategy of limited response, which lasted until 2:40 PM.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Occupation army has launched intensive raids on Rafah following the Al-Qassam Brigades' bombing of the Kerem Shalom crossing.
