Israeli Occupation detains eight Palestinians

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) detained eight Palestinians since Thursday night, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

According to local and security sources, the six individuals were detained between the late hours of Thursday night and early hours of Friday morning in different cities across the West Bank.

One Palestinian was detained when the IOF raided his family home in the Silwan area in East Jerusalem,0 and another was in detained in Anata town, northeast of Jerusalem.

Armed IOF soldiers manning the Huwara checkpoint, south of Nablus, detained three others from the Jenin refugee camp.

Roadblock were set up close to the formerly evacuated colonial settlement of Homesh, along Jenin-Nablus Road, where another Palestinian was detained and his vehicle was seized.

In Hebron, the IOF raided the town of Beit Ummar and arrested two others.

According to the latest figures from the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, Addameer, there are currently 4,780 political prisoners in Israeli Occupation prisons and detention centers.

This figure includes 160 children and 29 females.
