London's Mayor Sadiq Khan won a record third term today after defeating Conservative candidate Susan Hall, UK media said after all the capital's districts reported their results - cited by Agence France-Presse (AFP).

Khan, 53 years of age and of the Labour Party, is the son of Pakistani migrants and the first Muslim mayor of London when first elected in 2016.

He became the first Mayor of London to secure three terms since the post was created in 2000.
