A married couple was sentenced to death by hanging, after being convicted of killing their six-year-old child in Egypt.

Yousef, 26, and his wife Samar, 28, killed their own daughter in order to accuse the grandparent of her murder in retaliation for a dispute between them.

The crime was committed with premeditated and deliberate conduct.

Investigations showed that the girl's father killed her after disagreements with his own dad, so he decided to get rid of her to blame and accuse his father of her murder in retaliation.

The killer, Yousef, lured his six-year-old daughter to an abandoned house and then strangled her with a shawl, until she died.

His wife, Samar, was charged with participating in the crime by incitement, and agreeing with her husband to commit that crime.

The mother was the one who came up with the idea to ‘get rid’ of their daughter, and they agreed together on the plan.
