Friday, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) Ghazi Jbour said the TRC will not allow companies to raise the prices of recharge cards.

Jbour added that the TRC is currently working to find out the details of the increase and to take the necessary actions against companies that raised the prices of recharge cards.

He confirmed that if the price increase is proven, the TRC in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply will issue violations against companies that did not adhere to the fixed prices, noting that the Commission has sent official letters and awaits the official response from the companies in this regard.
