Members of the deaf community are now able to communicate with ease with personnel working at the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC), after the TRC took the important and positive step to employ sign language interpreters.

The TRC said that the interpreter/s will communicate directly between the deaf person and the desk employee/s to provide the best service, minus any complications.

The TRC is “an independent jurisdictional body tasked with regulating the telecommunications and information technology sectors,” according to the description on its official website. It is also tasked with “regulating the postal sector in the Kingdom and monitoring all postal service providers and their compliance with the law.”
