Queen Alia International Airport has won first place in the category of "airports with a capacity of five to 15 million passengers in the Middle East region" for the second year in a row.

The airport was awarded this title by Airports Council International (ACI), based on the results of the 2019 Airport Services Quality Survey, with this title being the highest that can be awarded to airport operators worldwide.

CEO of ACI, Nicolas Claude, commented on the achievement, saying, “obtaining this prestigious title for the second time in a row and for the third time in our history is another milestone that we are proud of for Queen Alia International Airport,”

Commenting on the airport services, Claude added that Queen Alia Airport is “carefully designed to make [people] feel at home - starting from familiarity of the airport and ease of transportation in it, and down to the warm welcome and great friendliness of the team."

The Airport Services Quality Survey is considered the global indicator for measuring the passenger satisfaction at airports since 2006, and covers about 400 participating airports in 95 countries worldwide.

With all participating airports adopting the same survey, the Airport Service Quality Survey database allows clear and immediate comparisons and analyzes between all airports - locally, regionally and internationally.

Indicators in the survey include 34 departure-related questions and 29 arrival-related questions.

The scientific methodology, stringent quality control procedures, and commitment to integrity have been recognized by the airport sector, making the Airport Service Quality Survey a global benchmark for measuring passenger satisfaction.
